POWERMAN 5000 Enlist "Tonight The Stars Revolt!" Engineer To Co-Produce New Album
July 6, 2002The current line-up of POWERMAN 5000—vocalist Spider One, bassist Siggy Siursen, guitarist Adam Williams (a.k.a. Adam12),drummer Adrian (a.k.a. AD7),and guitarist Mike Tempesta (a.k.a. M.33)— have reportedly spent the last few weeks in pre-production with co-producer Joe Baressi (who had engineered the group's platinum 1999 album, Tonight the Stars Revolt!) and are due to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new CD for an early 2003 release through Dreamworks Records.
POWERMAN 5000 were, of course, scheduled to drop Anyone for Doomsday? — their projected follow-up to Tonight…— last August 28th, but just two weeks before the release date, the band announced they were heading back into the studio to record new songs for the album. The group's scheduled headlining tour was cancelled, and the album release was postponed indefinitely.
